Hello from Dottie and John M!
We were guests at your VIP event in Palm Springs and I am so happy that I found your website and can write to all of you with "one fell swoop" to thank you for such a wonderful experience. The Resort was lovely and a perfect environment to be with other art lovers. Our accommodations were wonderful, the food fantastic, AND PLENTIFUL.
I especially liked the "Auction and Strolling Lunch" so we could have so much personal time with the artists that you brought to us. And, wonderful artists they were; Tim Yanke, whom I had met before, is such a talented person and so warm and friendly. It was great to see him again. Csaba Markus, a real personality, and that is putting it mildly! What a treat that he stayed with us the entire time. And, last but not least, Anatole Krasnyansky. His life story is so interesting and I loved meeting both he and Csaba since we have some of their pieces.
Now the fun is beginning again as the art we purchased has started to arrive and we can have the fun of looking at it closely and taking our time. Just to believe that it belongs to us and we were with the artists who created these wonderful works of art.
Jason is a wonderful auctioneer and so knowledgeable and fun to be with. His lovely wife, Laura, is certainly an asset to him and they make a darling couple. Morris Shapiro, you are just amazing. You just blew us away with your intellect about each subject you spoke on. And, Elvis at a Cowboy Show, who would ever believe it???? Sebelle and Jennifer could not do enough for us. I don't know where they get their stamina. Everyone worked so hard, day and night, but never lost their smile and great personalities.
Now a word about Simon - From his first telephone invitation until we said good bye in Palm Springs, he was there for us. Simon and I had met before at events, but this one was the topper. A special Thank You to you, Simon. I really appreciate all that you did to make our trip a success. I know I drive you crazy sometimes, but you hang in there with me!! You are the best.
We really had fun with the entire staff. I think back and just remember laughing and having such a great time! Also, we met so many lovely people that we have already corresponded with. We hope to see them at future events, assuming that we are invited back.
I am so happy with what has arrived so far. "Violin" by Maya Green, "Destiny" and "Avonia" by Csaba. And, I finally received my second Marcus Glenn since November! It is lovely.
Again, thank you all for a terrific event. I feel like we all are friends and I hope to get to be together again some time.
