Rex and I had a fabulous time this weekend. By far it was the best Park West Gallery event to-date. We've always enjoyed the art auctions in the past that included dinner but there is nothing like a weekend event where you get to relax with the artists and learn so much about them and their artwork. I like being able to peruse the artwork over a few days too. Our special thanks go to Chris, Samantha, Seth, Jason, Dustin and yourself for making sure this event was top-notch.

Cruise Art Auctioneer Runs Great Auctions

I recently had the pleasure of sailing on the Carnival Legend from Tampa, Florida on February 6, 2010 and was pleased to learn Park West was the Gallery chosen by Carnival to present and auction art while on the cruise. During the voyage my wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Barry (Art Director) and through him we were able to acquire eighteen new pieces of art.

We were traveling with a group of sixty-four people and several of us attended the art previews and auctions. Through the skill, overall presence and knowledge of art, Barry was able to assist five members of our group in the acquisition of new art.

I am writing to let you know what a pleasurable experience it was working with Barry to add pieces of art to our existing collections as well as acquire art to begin a new collection. Barry was very knowledgeable about the artists and their art. He had fantastic interpersonal skills, was relaxed and was excellent in assisting us with our art selections. His presentations on the background of each artist and their individual works of art were both entertaining and well presented.

Park West Gallery should be very pleased to have such a high caliber individual representing the Gallery. During the week Barry was the “face” of Park West and he represented the Gallery very well. His presentations were outstanding. Barry interacted with the passengers in such a personal one on one basis that it appeared as if he was totally focused on that one passenger and would have spent as much time as necessary to answer all questions and provide them with accurate, timely and specific information.

Barry is a tremendous asset to Park West Gallery. The Gallery should be very pleased knowing Barry represents Park West in such a professional manner. Barry, in my humble opinion, deserves recognition for his outstanding knowledge, dedication and commitment to service, all of which are hallmarks of Park West Gallery.

I would like to share a very positive experience I had just recently aboard Royal Caribbean's Liberty of the Seas (May 2 to May 9). The art auctioneers Jacqui and Damion made the auctions a highlight of my cruise.

Their knowledge of the art they were presenting, as well as the way they incorporated their personal experiences with the artists made it a particularly meaningful auction. Also, Jacqui's sense of humor is quite entertaining. In addition, the experience after winning an Alexander Chen "take-off" piece was outstanding.

Stephanie was very helpful and friendly when going through the paperwork, and ensured that the piece would be well packaged for my trip home to Naples (and it was when I picked it up). Thank you Park West and to Jacqui, Damion, Stephanie, and the whole team on the Liberty of the Seas.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting two of your employees Allison and Shyam. I met them on the Jewel of the Seas in May. Just wanted to let you know how much Larry and I appreciate the wonderful time that you arranged for us at the Hyatt in Tampa this past weekend. What a delight it was. Wonderful company, great food, and wonderful ART.

Dominic was so interesting to talk with and having lunch with him several times was a treat. Know we will enjoy the beautiful Blue Poppies he had just done. Will be hanging it on my bedroom wall so that I will see it first thing in the morning. Enjoyed Marko too. So much skill - was great watching him create works as we watched.

What a fun time was had by all at the Gambling Night on the Town. I had never played craps and TRex made it so much fun. He is a darling kid and of all the most helpful, with knowledge of everything about ART. He was great and Larry and I appreciated him helping us at check out so much and of course you too.

Our wonderful English sort of speaking auctioneer was the BEST! Loved his 5ish and 10ish time frames. He too was very helpful and knowledgeable about all things. Plus friendly and enjoyed hearing about his family. "Jewelry Boy" or JB as we called him was a big help in getting Larry to buy me my beautiful Opal and Diamond ring.

Be sure and tell all the staff what a WONDERFUL time we had. You made it all possible though, your arrangements for us were perfect. Was a pleasure getting to meet you and put a pretty face with the voice on the phone. Thank you doesn't cover it, but our appreciation and thanks to all of you come with this. I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know the Max arrived. What a beautiful painting! The digital picture you sent did no justice to that frame! I thought the frame was more of an oak type from the picture. It’s actually got quite a bit of copper coloring in it and it’s gorgeous!

All 3 pieces of art look amazing and they’ve completely changed the look of the rooms. Please let your framer know what a fantastic job he did for me and that it’s much appreciated.

I think Ian and your staff did a great job at the auction on the 9th of April on The Glory. Ian is funny and was very informative about the artists and the work displayed and auctioned. That is why I bought the prints and paintings that I did. Maybe I bought too much!

I also bought some prints when I cruised last year on Carnival. I think Ian was superior to the other gentleman auctioneer. The other staff was very kind and helpful. I had a little session with low blood sugar and they were very concerned about me. I appreciate it.
