Park West Gallery Sparks NCL Cruise Traveler's Interest in Art

Dear Park West Gallery,

"I recently took a cruise on the Norwegian Epic. My son gave me this trip for my birthday, Mother's Day and retirement present, as I was a Chicago Police Officer for 25 yrs. I have since moved to Sebring, FL.

I’ve never had any interest in the arts ever, so I had no plans to go to the art auction at all. This was until I received an invite to the auction promising me a free work of art for my birthday if I attended one of the auctions. Typical female, if it’s free, I’m there.

As I walked through all the artworks on display, I was approached by one of your auctioneers. I was captivated by his words as he spoke to me about some of the works and artists I was looking at. I was stunned as in those few minutes he aroused in me a thirst for more knowledge on the subject. His enthusiasm was electrifying and contagious as he spoke and people gathered around me to hear what he had to say. Some asked questions about the art and one asked him for pricing on some of the pieces on display. To say he was extremely informative is an understatement.

Later in the cruise, I saw this same auctioneer standing by a Picasso outside the Headliner's Club. They were hosting a competition where we had to guess the price of that piece. By the way, my guess was way off!! There were about eight people gathered around him listening to his every word. I joined to listen and others followed suit.

He was so informative about that piece and how it came to be, why it was signed and the significance of that signature. Every one of us was spellbound by his passion for the arts. None of us wanted to leave. Many questions were asked of him and he really made an impression on all of us there. His attention to details is astounding.

I later saw some of those people at the next auction. He even remembered some of our names. Although I’d never ever had an interest in art at all until then, his enthusiasm was such that these were definitely some of the highlights of my cruise and one of the reasons why I’ll be cruising on Norwegian again to hear more and next time, I plan to budget for the auctions onboard.

After the cruise I actually went to a ‘showing’ at the Art Gallery in Sebring & became a member, all because of the new found interest for the arts that I now have.

Thank you for having such awesome personnel. Your team on the NCL Epic is an asset to your company."

Putting a Feather in the Auctioneer's Cap

 Dear Park West Gallery,

"We had the opportunity to sail on the Carnival Spirit for a 12-day cruise commencing on 4/10/11 out of Ensenada, Mexico to the Hawaiian Islands. We purchased artwork at the Park West Gallery.

The lead for Park West Gallery was a gentleman named Peter. We have attended many Park West Gallery auctions aboard cruise ships. Without a doubt, Peter gets our vote for the most congenial, pleasant and well-informed auctioneer

Peter is funny, but not sticky sweet funny; informed, but not a know-it-all; and receptive (but not overly alerted) to peoples’ different tastes in art. In one instance, he worked an assistant’s name into a short phrase from a disco song – very catchy and got the crowd in an 'involved' mood.

Please put a feather in his cap as it is very much deserved. If possible, please pass this along to Peter’s supervisor. Thank you."

Art Collectors: "Park West Gallery's Website is Really Good!"

"Sailing into Capri" by Marko Mavrovich
Park West Gallery Collection
Dear Park West Gallery,

"All items have arrived in our order that you so patiently helped us with. We are delighted with them and with the framing. We still have a few to hang, and some cartons to get rid of, otherwise we're just enjoying the added stimulation in our condo.

Also want to tell you that Park West Gallery's website is really good! Shopping with it is a still further way we have bought from you, beyond cruise auctions (that got us started), a VIP land auction, and the VIP cruise to the Mexican Riviera. We've recommended the website to our friends to use for enjoyment and hope they will also do some buying. It has so much information on artists and wide choice of works to choose from!

We certainly appreciate Park West Gallery and your help!"

Park West Gallery Truly Understands Exceptional Customer Service

"Campagne Provincale" by Emile Bellet
Park West Gallery Collection

Dear Park West Gallery,

"Wanted to drop a quick note to commend your Customer Service staff. I have had two interactions with them—one over the credit card I received and one about a missing piece of art.

The first experience was great and unfortunately I did not write down the young ladies name who was professional and helped me. The second time about the missing piece of art I spoke with Mary G. She promised to research the problem and call me back within 24 hours. She did what she said she would do and when she said she would and got back only a few short hours later and resolved the problem. and than called again to tell me the piece was shipped and a ETA.

The professionalism of your customer service people not only makes me feel comfortable and trust you but makes excited to purchase from you because I know there are no problems only quick solutions. I was a Managing Director for a very large multinational company Customer Service was one of the areas under my control. This tends to make me critical, but I applaud your people as they truly understand what exceptional customer service is and are truly the foundation upon which your business is built, they not only provide exceptional customer service but also build relationships.

Bravo keep up the great work and I look forward to dealing with Park West Gallery."

Special Thanks to Park West Gallery Customer Service

"Heart" by Peter Max
Park West Gallery Collection
Dear Park West Gallery,

"I do not know how to thank you for your assistance.

It has been so long since anyone has given customer assistance like this that it is unusual when it shouldn't be. I am actually overwhelmed. I believed this level of concern for a customer's needs was extinct.

You should be very proud of yourself. This is an attribute that will grant you great things in life.

I can't thank you enough and special thanks for making this experience as great as all those I have had with Park West Gallery."

Sincerely,

We Had a Great Time at the Park West Gallery Art Auction

"Purple Palm" by Yuval Wolfson
Park West Gallery Collection
 Dear Park West Gallery,

"Just wanted to tell you what a great time we had at the auction. We purchased a beautiful Wolfson painting that my wife truly loves. We can hardly wait to hang it in our home. [The art auctioneer] was so incredibly helpful. We enjoyed doing business with him and would likely not have purchased without his participation. We are looking forward to our next cruise and hope Park West Gallery and [the same art auctioneer] are both there. Thank you!!"
