Apart from some passing interest in art due to a famous, long past relative (a bloke called James McNeill Whistler), my wife and I had never really been exposed to the art world until this cruise. What an eye-opener!
It was a fascinating experience, made even more so by the assistance - and knowledge - of Daniel who willingly introduced to the likes of Dali, Chagall, Rembrandt, Tarkay, Max and so on. We're still struggling with the differences in embellished artworks, seriolithographs and so on but it's a learning process that we have embraced with fervour.
His enthusiasm was such that we purchased about nine artworks during our cruise (and have probably set our mortgage back 15 years!). Sadly, we could not afford any originals but should we suddenly receive a financial windfall, Park West will be our first port of call - and Peter Max our first choice.
Thank you so much...
