Park West Gallery VIP Event: Las Vegas

park west gallery, marko mavrovich, vip customer testimonials
"No Shoes, No Problem" by Marko Mavrovich
Park West Gallery Collection

Dear Park West Gallery,

"Tom and I are so grateful that we were invited to the VIP event in Las Vegas. We were anxious to meet PETER MAX and SCOTT JACOBS, what a delight that was.

We enjoyed up close and personal conversations with SCOTT JACOBS at dinner as we were lucky enough to have the honor of sitting next to him. We found him to be very personable and willing to share his love of art with people. Thank you Scott, you are just too cute.

Meeting PETER MAX was not what I expected. We found him to be a very profound man about his life and mainly his art. I found myself sitting in the front row on about 1/2" of my chair. I don't think I blinked one time, for fear of missing one word from him. We received his book today and I can't wait to sit down in a quiet place and lose myself in it. We are anxiously awaiting our painting 'FLAG WITH HEART.'

One of our other favorite artists is ANATOLE KRASNYANSKY. When we were waiting for everyone to gather, and I turned around and saw ANATOLE KRASNYANSKY standing there with his cute little wife, I know my mouth dropped open. What a sweet couple, and such a delight to meet. We are also awaiting his painting 'City's Conscience.' What a wonderful painting, with the bottom half being his city scape and the top being of his newer American style.

And then came MARKO MAVROVICH and what a wonderful personality he exudes. We found him to be quite a character, with his hand painted boots and shirt. We found him to be so unpretentious. He would be great fun to attend a party with, and we suspect he would be the life of the party. Love you Marko.

We are very much looking forward to attending another VIP event. When you meet the artist and find yourself enthralled with their work, you can't help but purchase one of their paintings."

An Unforgettable Park West Gallery Experience

"Trumpet Conversation" by Anatole Krasnyansky

Dear Park West Gallery,

"Words can't describe the January Park West Gallery event in Marina del Rey.

Morris Shapiro handled the auctions and provided great information and insights and the entire Park West Gallery staff did their usual fine job in coordinating the event and making sure everyone was taken care of.

To meet with and hear the fascinating stories of Peter Max, Csaba Markus, Dominic Pangborn and Anatole Krasnyansky and to view the works of these great artists made it an unforgettable experience that we will always remember."

Artists Surprise Park West Gallery Collectors

Park West Gallery, David Najar
"My Golden Palace" by David Najar
Park West Gallery Collection
Dear Park West Gallery,

"We're just recovering from a fantastic weekend at the Balboa Bay Club in Newport Beach.

It was the usual outstanding Park West Gallery event, but this was made even more memorable with the presence of Anatole Krasnyansky, Itzchak Tarkay, David Najar, and a surprise visit by Scott Jacobs. There was also a phone conversation with Tim Yanke during one of the auctions.

To say it was a thrill to meet and talk to these world renowned artists is an understatement.

We can't wait to display the piece by Krasnyansky and two more of Tim Yanke's works to go along with his beautiful Kokopelli. I wrote to Tim and told him the family room is going to be called the 'Tim Yanke' room.

[The auctioneer] and the rest of the staff made us feel as special as the beautiful Newport surroundings.

Thank you."

"I really didn't know who to write to but I just wanted to thank Park West Gallery for the fabulous weekend my husband and I had in Huntington Beach, CA.

This was the first event we have been able to attend and we were only able to stay Saturday and Sunday but we had a wonderful time.

Meeting Itzchak Tarkay, David Najar and you especially surprised us with Scott Jacobs - who is such a great guy - it was such a pleasure. Scott even got on the dance floor with us on Saturday night.

Thanks again."

A Note of Appreciation

"Red & Green Overlooking the City" by
Anatole Krasnyansky
Dear Park West Gallery...

"We enjoyed the auctions on the Carnival Valor where we purchased two paintings and won one. One of our paintings arrived yesterday - an Alfred Gockel - and it fit really well in a area bordered by our drapes. We are looking forward to receiving the other one - Anatole Krasnyansky - shortly so we can get a frame to match for our unframed Krasnyansky (which was a take off ) and hang both. We also look forward to receiving the authenticity papers in the mail.

We are looking forward to other cruises so we can attend your auctions again. Finally, we appreciated the friendly manner of your assistants.

All the best!"

Dear Park West Gallery,

"My husband and I want you to know how impressed we were with your staff aboard the Carnival Pride. We recently returned from our 8th cruise and typically attend one art event. While we are not art collectors, we have purchased a few items over the years. This time we were pleasantly surprised with your staff and attended several art events.

We found your auctioneer, to be very intelligent, knowledgeable, professional, courteous and pleasant. [The auctioneer] was extremely helpful in explaining the art you sell. We consider [her] to be a tremendous asset to your company and a rising star!"

"Dear Tiffany...

What can we say. It was a wonderful weekend with no bad parts. I finally got a one-of-a-kind Krasnyansky and some others that were not planned on. Everyone was helpful, knowledgeable, and above all friendly. We enjoyed Chris as auctioneer (he is good) and enjoyed all the facts and history that he expounded on.

We look forward to seeing everyone again.

Magnificent Time with Park West Gallery Staff

"Rostov Kremlin"
Anatole Krasnyansky
Park West Gallery Collection
We recently enjoyed a magnificent cruise on the Celebrity Constellation. An absolute highlight of the cruise was the Park West art gallery, art talks and art auction. First of all we had no idea that this was available on the cruise ship. We learned so much from the pre-auction talks that we quickly developed a keen interest in art. In the end we acquired a number of works of art from the auctions and are very happy with these acquisitions. We cannot stress highly enough how impressed we were with the professionalism and assistance given by your staff on the cruise.

Thank you for our Alaskan Cruise ... we had a fabulous time with Linda Le Kinff and Dominic Pangborn. I could not have been invited to a more perfect event as Linda is my all time favorite artist. Her artwork literally hangs in every room in my house. And of course, thank you to the Park West Gallery hosts... Jordin, Tim, Jen, Laura, Simon and Felix, who did a wonderful job.

We had such a wonderful time on our cruise attending all the Park West Gallery events. We have never been on one before, but we ended up getting several great pieces of artwork. Jacqui and Damian were such a great help as they had a lot of information to share with all of us. I really learned a lot.

Art Auctioneers Educate at Park West Auction

Dear Park West Gallery:

Peter Max. Roseville Series: Roseville Profile Detail Ver. IV #82. 2007. A unique work. From the collection of the artist.I wanted to let you know what a great time we had with Chris Lindsay and Angie. They made it so much fun to go to the auctions. I had never been to an auction before and wouldn't have gone except that Chris was giving out some raffle tickets at another function on the ship.

I ended up with a winning ticket and went to the auction with my wife. What a blast! We ended up going to the next auction too.

After asking tons of questions and getting the answers in such a friendly manner, no matter how stupid we seemed (my art knowledge was the dogs playing poker) we ended up with 3 Krasnyansky's, 3 Marcus Glenn's, the entire free collection for winning, bonuses, etc. and a Peter Max. I would have never gone if I had not won the first Krasnyansky. They both went way above and beyond to help us and educate us. It was truly a pleasure meeting them.

Thank you,

Steve & Rose W.

Park West Customer Corner

Dear Park West Gallery:

Like so many PWG customers, we began collecting artwork while aboard a cruise ship (10 years ago). Our first purchase was a pair of LTD ED giclees by Tomasz Rut, which still hang in our bedroom to this day. Over time, we would learn more about other artists and their techniques. Having had the ability to meet Simon Bull, Andrew Bone, Alicia Quaini and Alfred Gockel, we jumped at the chance to collect their original paintings, as well as those by Itzchak Tarkay.

In addition, though we have always been intrigued by the detail contained within vintage etchings, we never put much thought into owning any such piece. We would eventually opt to collect a "time piece of history," and selected an etching by Albrecht Durer, dating from the 1600's.

You've heard the saying, "the more things change, the more they remain the same." While our knowledge and interests continue to develop and grow, so too, does our love for the works of Tomasz Rut. We currently have nearly one dozen of Rut's giclees, and rotate them once or twice per year. Some of our friends have asked if we charge admission to our home (i.e. museum style), while others have made it a point to begin collecting similar pieces as well. The latter were referred to PWG, and are now able to display their own pieces within their own home(s).

______________________________

Two years ago, my family and I took a cruise to Mexico. As it was my first cruise, I didn't quite know what to expect, and as I wandered the halls of what sometimes seemed like a medieval castle, I was soon enthralled by the atmosphere and adventure of a life at sea. However, all of the memories of sea lions and jeep expeditions and tacos that Mexico had to offer could not compare to the Carnival experience I treasure most; the art auction. Being that I come from a home of cowboys and tumbleweeds, I had never been exposed to art in the way a young person should. Though I'd heard of Da Vinci and Dali, I'd never been given the opportunity to appreciate them. Thanks to Park West though, I can now proudly say that I do.

Looking at the many wonderful pieces on display there in that room, I began my ardent and enthusiastic relationship with art. I bought my first painting, was generously given my second, and I left with a booklet that depicted some of the other pieces Park West sold. That booklet, the one handed out at the beginning of the presentation, now decorates the walls of my bedroom. Better than what any wallpaper or music poster could do, I've brought a little bit of the world to my now famous "Wall of Art," and it also helped me introduce the wonder of so many artists to many of my friends.

Sincerely Yours,

Stephanie S.

We just received our last shipment of artwork we purchased on our 5 day cruise out of Galveston, TX. We purchased our items after much research and had another great experience. The first time we purchased mostly lithographs that we liked, this time we purchased specific canvas items that we were looking for. We decided to purchase framing from Park West as well. The items we received were much better than we dreamed they could be. We purchased two Peter Max mixed media pieces, one Bellet on giclee on canvas, and a Krasnyansky deluxe edition on linen. The last one compliments an earlier Krasnyansky piece we purchased last year. YET ANOTHER GREAT JOB BY PARK WEST. We are very thankful that we found you and that the auctioneers we have met are all professional.

Dear Park West Gallery

We love to read all of the positive letters from our customers and we're happy to publish a handful of our recent favorites. Park West Gallery would love to hear from you too!

----------------------------------

We were on a cruise “Rhapsody of the Seas” (Royal Caribbean line) sailing from Sydney. Nicole was our [auctioneer]. We found her extremely helpful, very pleasant and knowledgeable on the artworks. We appreciated her help in selecting the artworks we purchased and in making sense of the many choices.

We are looking forward to receiving our Charles Lee Violin and Cello Duet.

Cheers,
Stephen and Carol S. (Australia)

Just talked to Tabitha...Truly amazing customer service and just one of the reasons I love Park West!

I am addressing this email to Albert but want everyone to know the quality of people on the ships. I have been buying from Park West for several years now. In meeting Ansophie and Shaun I must say they are the most pleasant and caring people that I have met on the ships. They truly made you feel cared for and taught me many things. I wish everyone was like the ex-teacher Ansophie, her methods were wonderful. I am in business myself and when your people chose this fine pair you did good. I believe I will have a wonderful relationship [with Park West Gallery] from here on out and it is thanks to the wonderful couple on the NCL "Star" in 2008

Warmest Regards, Joanie S. (Magnolia, Texas)

----------------------------------

First off, we would like to thank Park West for the kind invitation to be a part of the Mexican Riviera cruise in December in celebration of the gallery's 40th anniversary. What an amazing even it was with not only Anatole Krasnyansky but also Itzchak Tarkay as well.

Ann Marie, Tim, Tom, Laura and Jason did an exceptional job of making everyone of us feel at home while attending to our every need. Simply put, they went all out and the event could not have been any better.

What an additional surprise it was to have David Najar and his landscapes there as well. It was a breathtaking experience.

We were truly honored to have so much time with one of our favorite artists, Anatole Krasnyansky. Never in our wildest dreams could we have imagined that we would have had the opportunity to have dinner with Mr. Krasnyansky. Mr. Krasnyansky and his wonderful wife, Nelya were always at the auctions and their joyous spirit always filled the room. After speaking personally to and getting the advice of Mr. Krasnyansky, we decided to bid on The Toreador. Being lucky enough to win the bidding, this beautiful piece will now grace the walls of our home.

Not only are the works of Mr. Krasnyansky fascinating and moving to those who have the honor to own any of his pieces, his personal story is poignant and motivational in its scope and depth. Simply put, he is an inspiration to those both inside and outside of the art community.

Larry and Carmen W. (St. Louis, Missouri)

We just wanted to thank Park West for the great time we had on the Carnival “Miracle”. We really had a marvelous time. The hospitality that everybody showed was outstanding and the art education we received was second to none. Please pass our thanks on to the management at Park West and tell them they have a superb crew working for them. We look forward to the next time we get to be with all of you and have as much fun.

Here’s wishing everyone a Happy Holiday season and a prosperous New Year.

"Thanks so much for the newsletter and Thanksgiving wishes....My father will be thrilled to see his new website. Thank you to the Park West team and especially to Albert for keeping him in high regard as always. The economic situation in the US as well as in Europe has taken a toll on everyone and I am grateful to see that with such a small gesture your Gallery is able to say so much. I think at times we forget that the most important and the most valued aspect of business is interpersonal relations.... and mutual respect. It makes me proud that my father is doing business with people who value him not only as an artist, but also as a human being. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone at Park West, and our warmest regards to Albert and his family."

To celebrate Park West's 40th anniversary, more than one-hundred fine art auctioneers, associates and trainees from Plymouth Auctioneering, providing services for Park West cruise ship art auctions at sea, attended an unprecedented semi-annual conference and Art Expo during October 1-6, 2008.

I now have a much more intimate feeling of Park West, how it operates and the amazing people involved in making the company what it is today," said associate auctioneer, Hooman Shad.
